Although there have been a number of budget airlines in operation for well over a decade, not everyone has cottoned on to the fact that you can really cheaply and easily spend a weekend in another country. Yet with some of the amazing low prices that you can get through companies like Jet2.com, you can be leaving work on a Friday and heading straight for your nearest airport, to be in another country in time for dinner. Airports can be terribly boring places – especially if you get delayed. To alleviate the monotony once I’ve made a full circuit of all the duty free stores I like to play a little game of ‘guess who’ with myself. All you need to do is pick out as many different travelling types as you can amongst your fellow passengers and create yourself a back story to go along with it… here are a few examples: Surf dude. Wishes they were born in Oz but more likely from Croydon. Longish, dirtyish, blondeish hair, leather thong around the neck and sporting much loved un-ironed beachwear.
